Iran-backed groups launched 2 simultaneous attacks on U.S. forces in Syria on Monday morning. In the first attack, drones targeted Al-Tanf base and in the second attack, rockets were reportedly fires at Al-Omar oil field in eastern Syria where U.S. troops are based. Al-Mayadeen reported powerful explosions near both the bases following the attacks which came within 48 hours of Israel's attack on Iran.

Yet another Iranian official has warned Israel, hinting at a response to the October 26 attack. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei, during a press conference on Oct 28, reportedly vowed a comprehensive response to Israeli attack. Earlier, Iranian president and supreme leader have also hinted at a possible retaliatory attack on Israel.
