Israeli fighter jets bombed the Syrian capital Damascus overnight in a fresh strike. According to Al Jazeera, Israeli warplanes targeted Syrian military installations near Damascus and in the surrounding countryside. The Israeli military attacked the Syrian army’s Fourth Division and a radar battalion. The attack came after Turkish intelligence chief Ibrahim Kalin visited Damascus to meet with HTS leader Al-Golani and caretaker prime minister Mohammad al-Bashir. Turkish Defence Minister Yasar Guler said Israeli attacks in Syria are escalating tensions and sowing instability in the region.

Israeli military said rockets were fired toward Southern Israel's Ashkelon port city from Central Gaza strip Friday. The attack was claimed by Palestinian Islamic Jihad and the group said its armed wing targeted Ashkelon and surrounding Jewish settlements.
