Yemen's Houthis are proving to be an unstoppable force, as the Iran-backed militia launches yet another attack. They have locked horns with the superpower U.S. in the Red Sea region again. Ansar Allah, the Houthi group, claimed responsibility for drone and missile strikes on the USS Harry Truman, marking the second such attack in just four days. According to reports from Iran's Press TV, the Houthis stated that the U.S. warship was targeted again, following a similar assault on January 7. With the Houthis escalating their military actions, tensions in the region continue to rise.

At least seven Palestinians have been killed and dozens wounded in an Israeli army raid on Jenin, in the occupied West Bank.
Israeli military vehicles were seen raiding the refugee camp after an air strike on a car. The army and Shin Bet have confirmed they are carrying out an operation in Jenin.
Israeli settlers have carried out more attacks on Palestinians in the occupied West Bank. Witnesses say dozens set on fire Palestinian home and businesses in the towns of Fandaq and Jinsafut, east of Qalqilya. The Palestinian Red Crescent says 12 people were injured. In the past 15 months, settlers have intensified campaigns of violence while under the protection of the Israeli army.
The Israeli army has detained 64 Palestinians including children, in a raid on the city of Qalqilya. The arrests come a day after 90 Palestinian prisoners and three Israeli captives were released under the ceasefire deal, that's halted 15 months of war on Gaza.
Al Jazeera’s Hamdah Salhut has more from the Jordanian capital Amman, because the Israeli Government and Palestinian Authority have banned Al Jazeera from reporting from both Israel and the occupied West Bank.

On Sunday, January 19, 2025, fighters from the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, surfaced from their underground tunnels in the Gaza Strip, making a public appearance in Deir al-Balah. During their presence, they engaged with local children, many of whom are reportedly being trained as future recruits for the armed group.
