Repression and harsh punitive sanctions, restrictions on the freedom of the press, people living under an empire of fear are not accepted.
Russia and Belarus are among the places where we can see all this very often.

In Belarus, there has been an election process in recent days.

Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko, who is seen as the most loyal servant of Russian President Vladimr Putin, has so far seriously oppressed his people in order to secure his seat of power.

The unit took part in the Ukrainian counter-offensive in 2023 and fought on the Donetsk front, where the unit suffered at least one fatality.

This was a truly humiliating example for both Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimr Putin.

Alexander Lukashenko saw the support of his own people for Ukraine as a potential loss of his power.
