Syrian media reports suggest that Israeli forces are operating near Tel al-Mal in Syria’s Daraa Governorate, an area where a former Syrian regime military post once stood. The site is over 8 miles from Israel’s border and lies outside the buffer zone established between the two countries. According to local sources (Daraa 24), sounds of bulldozers, helicopters, and drones have been heard in the area, while Israeli military vehicles were spotted in nearby towns. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have not issued an official statement.

06:30 – How Russia Sees It: Reactions in the Kremlin
Analyzes the dilemma faced by Putin, who sees Turkey as both arms supplier to Ukraine and a potential mediator.
Possibility of grudging acceptance if it helps shape a ceasefire that doesn’t overly undermine Russia’s positions.

Explains potential reliance on a formal UN/EU mandate or a US bilateral security framework.
13:00 – Past Turkish Mediation Success (Grain Deal, POW Swaps)
Highlights how Turkey overcame mistrust before, bridging US, EU, and Russia.
Evaluates whether similar pragmatism could lead to success in a direct security role in Ukraine.
15:30 – Possible Hurdles: Trust Deficit, Legal Mandates & NATO Ties
Addresses risk of direct confrontation with Russian forces, complex status as a NATO state, and questions about neutrality.
Points out potential internal Ukrainian concerns about foreign boots on the ground.
17:30 – Future Outlook: Could Turkey Redefine European Security?
Wraps up with how Erdogan’s move could transform the war’s trajectory, hamper or help Trump’s peace plans, or position Turkey as a bigger European security pillar.
Raises the question of how such a role might reshape the region in the post-war environment.

JERUSALEM, Israel – A major shift in Middle East diplomacy is underway as Arab leaders push a new proposal for Gaza that Israel rejects outright. Meanwhile, disturbing new details have emerged about a hostage still in captivity.
In his address to a joint session of Congress Tuesday night, President Donald Trump stated, "In the Middle East, we're bringing back our hostages from Gaza."
Trump claimed success in Gaza. Meanwhile, a new proposal from Arab leaders, backed by Egypt, called for the reconstruction of Gaza under an international trust fund with the Palestinian Authority taking control.

Israel and the US have rejected an Egyptian plan for the future of Gaza that would see Palestinians remain in the Strip throughout its reconstruction. On Tuesday the Egyptian plan was unanimously agreed upon by Arab leaders at an emergency summit in Cairo. Hasan Mahmud from Northwestern University in Qatar has more on this plan.

The US and Israel have rejected an Arab plan for the post-war reconstruction of the Gaza Strip that would allow the 2.1 million Palestinians living there to stay in place.
The proposal, endorsed by Arab leaders at a summit in Cairo, is an alternative to President Donald Trump's idea for the US to take over Gaza and permanently resettle its population.
The Palestinian Authority and Hamas welcomed the Arab plan, which calls for Gaza to be governed temporarily by a committee of independent experts and for international peacekeepers to be deployed there.
But both the White House and Israeli foreign ministry said it failed to address realities in Gaza and stood by Trump's vision.

Professor Sami Al-Arian from Istanbul Zaim University says the Arab plan provides a roadmap for Gaza, rejecting Trump’s proposal and forced expulsion. The 91-page document does not call for Hamas’ disarmament or removal but suggests all arms be under one authority. It aligns with Palestinian demands, including Israeli withdrawal, reconstruction, lifting the siege, and reopening Rafah Crossing. A technocratic commission would govern Gaza, with Hamas remaining in the background. The plan aims to balance Palestinian interests but is unlikely to satisfy the US and Israel.

Neither Donald Trump or Benjamin Netanyahu are happy bunnies over Egypt's vision for Gaza, but their excuses are weak, weak, weak!
Right, so the Egyptian plan to reconstruct the Gaza Strip, which I have gone into the details of in an earlier video, represent a comprehensive blueprint for addressing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza following Israel’s devastating military campaign even if there are some sticking points over some details. Endorsed as it has been by several Arab nations and supported by the Palestinian Authority as well, the $53 billion plan prioritises rebuilding infrastructure, restoring essential services, and establishing a transitional governance framework whilst firmly rejecting any notion or demand of forced displacement of the people of Gaza whilst that reconstruction process takes place.
That said however, the plan has now been met with fierce opposition from the big orange man baby soiling his diaper over it, Donald Trump and obviously the Israeli government, both of whom have dismissed it in favour of their own controversial proposals which require the removal of the Palestinian people from their own land, ethnic cleansing, a war crime and therefore Trump’s plan and Israeli support for it, is a non starter. Their counter arguments are hilariously weak though and all they have managed to do in light of the Egyptian plan being made public, is expose their real motivations behind their rejection, it highlights the existential threat the plan poses to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s leadership and his fear over that, power his all consuming and overriding priority above all else.
Right, so Egypt’s $53 billion reconstruction plan for Gaza is a not straightforward proposal, not a cheap proposal, but is incredibly detailed, whilst also being surprisingly quick, they reckon just 5 years is all it will take to rebuild Gaza and whilst all of that is taking place they will also have implemented an initiative designed to address the immediate and long-term needs of the people of Gaza, currently left with absolutely nothing.
My other video on this goes into much more of the detail, but a quick overview of it is that the plan prioritises the reconstruction of Gaza’s devastated infrastructure, including housing, schools, hospitals, and water and electricity networks, along with the construction of 200,000 housing units, rising to 460,000 to accommodate displaced families and provide housing in the long term for up to 3m people.
The plan also aims to stimulate Gaza’s economy by creating jobs and investing in key sectors such as agriculture, industry, and technology. This includes the construction of a seaport to facilitate trade and the establishment of a 600 acre industrial zone.
There will be the establishment of a transitional governance arrangement in Gaza, with the Palestinian Authority playing a central role and Hamas getting sidelined, which Hamas are actually on board with, though they are not prepared to disarm.

In a major development, the White House has decided to hold direct and secret talks with Palestinian group, Hamas, in a bid to secure the release of American captives and strike a long-term truce in Gaza. This is the first time the US has decided to hold direct talks with Hamas since declaring Hamas a terrorist organisation in 1997.
Rifat Jawaid on the significance of this hugely important development.
