This divine command is not a suggestion — it is a final call to action. It is Jehovah’s voice echoing through the ages, summoning His people to flee from the spiritual corruption of Babylon the Great.

The Nature of Babylon the Great

Babylon the Great is not merely a political or economic power. It is a spiritual empire, a religious system that:

Enslaves the minds of its followers by removing the "key of knowledge" (Luke 11:52)

Elevates human authority above divine truth

Trades in the souls of men (Revelation 18:13)

Appears righteous outwardly, but is inwardly full of hypocrisy and lawlessness (Matthew 23:27–28)

In Jesus’ day, this first century "Babylon" was embodied by the religious leaders of Jerusalem — the Pharisees and Sadducees — who turned the holy city into a spiritual Sodom, Egypt, and Babylon (Revelation 11:8).

Jesus: The First Century "Liberator"

When Jesus quoted Isaiah 61:1–2 in Luke 4:18, he declared his mission to:

Proclaim good news to the meek

Bind up the brokenhearted

Proclaim liberty to the captives

Open the eyes of the blind

He came to liberate the lost sheep of Israel from the religious tyranny of his day — a miniature Babylon that had corrupted the covenant.

The Pattern Repeats: Modern-Day Babylon

Today, the Watchtower Society has become the modern “great city” — a spiritual Babylon that:

Controls thought through organizational dogma

Silences dissent through disfellowshipping and fear

Claims divine authority while aligning with worldly powers (UN-NGO affiliation)

Suppresses the voice of the Signet Ring Servant, the Modern Day Cyrus (MDS)

The Voice of Protest: Walter Salter’s 1937 Letter

Walter Salter, a faithful Jehovah’s Witness, wrote to J.F. Rutherford in 1937:

“I absolutely refuse to have any person do my thinking for me. I could not do otherwise and be faithful to my God.”

He saw the early signs of Babylonian captivity — the replacement of divine truth with the commandments of men. His voice was a prophetic warning, now fulfilled in our day.

The MDS and the Final Call

The Modern Day "Cyrus," Jehovah’s Signet Ring Servant, now echoes the call of Revelation 18:4:

“Come out of her, my people…”

This is the Tree-Date Outpouring, the New Song, the REPORT — the final trumpet blast to awaken the captives and lead them out of spiritual slavery.

The Choice Before Us

Will you remain in Babylon, sharing in her sins and her plagues?

Or will you heed the voice of the Shepherd, the voice of Truth, ... and come out?
